Monsoon Plantation Campaign: Target 5 Lakh Trees
Prepare for the largest plantation drive of 2026. Beginning this monsoon season, Paryavaran Aayog aims to plant 5 lakh saplings of indigenous trees including Neem, Peepal, Banyan, and Jamun.
"Monsoon is the most vital window for afforestation. A native sapling planted in July catches natural root anchors, guaranteeing premium health and fast growth."
How to Participate
We invite resident welfare associations, schools, universities, and corporate houses to register their land plots to receive free saplings and expert forestry support for planting and maintenance.
Planting native trees helps cool our cities, creates vital local ecosystems for urban birds, and builds deep water-retention channels. Participate and turn this into a monumental green mass movement!
Campaign Action Timeline:
- June 1 - June 30: Online registration of planting sites and volunteer signups.
- July 1 - July 15: Free sapling distribution at all Paryavaran regional hubs.
- July 16: National launch day — targeted planting of 1 lakh saplings in a single day.
- August 1 onwards: Weekly survival checks and fence installations by local Eco-Wardens.
Compensatory Reforestation Support
For organizations under statutory obligations to execute compensatory reforestation, Paryavaran Aayog provides complete engineering, mapping, and verification logs. By aligning with our campaigns, operators satisfy corporate and legal compliance standards while securing expert local forestry support.
Monsoon Drive: Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q1: Can an individual request saplings for their home balcony?
Yes, individuals can collect up to 5 small herbal or flower saplings from our regional nursery centers upon showing their volunteer registration barcode.
Q2: Do you provide fencing materials along with saplings?
We provide bamboo and mesh support parameters for community roadside plantings, helping volunteer groups keep saplings safe from stray grazing.
Registering Your Zone
Any educational institution, residential society, or office block can register their open soil areas. The Aayog's forestry team will inspect the site, provide tailored advice on native species mix, and dispatch free compost packs alongside healthy saplings.
